UC大阪オフィス特別講義"Case Based Critical Thinking"の第28回目を開催します！！

開催日時：2017年9月5日（火） 13：30 から

UC大阪オフィス特別講義として、大阪大学とカリフォルニア大学との学術交流推進室のJOHN　HAMPTON INO特任教授（カリフォルニア大学サンフランシスコ校名誉教授、元UC東京スタディーセンター長）による、グループ討論型のインタラクティブな演習講義シリーズの第28回目を開催します。

この特別講義は身近な論争的課題を具体的な討論事例として、ステークホルダーアナリシス等を通して多面的・批判的に、また楽しくポジティブに考え、論理的な思考・情報発信能力を高める英語講義です。

本学の大学院生・学部生の方ならどなたでも参加できます。今までにシリーズの講義を受講していない方もご参加いただけます。 なお、先着30名です。ご予約はお早めに！

講義内容

The lecture will challenge the students' critical thinking skills. Students will be given case studies. They will analyze the issue and answer the general question, "What should I do?"

The general "tools" they will struggle with are:

1) Where should I stop on this "slippery slope"?

2)What is influencing my actions: feeling (emotion) or thinking (intellect)?

This month's topic: "If some athletes are mutants, how do we make sports fair?"

Critical Thinking Questions:

1. What is the solution to mutants in competition?

2. If mutants make sports unfair, would you still watch the 2020 Tokyo Olympics?

3. What is the definition of "cheating" in sports? ...in life?

「もしスポーツ選手の中にミュータントが存在するならば、そのスポーツは公平なのでしょうか？

どのように公平なスポーツを作り上げればいいのでしょうか。」 *ミュータント：突然変異体

Critical Thinking Questions:

1. 競争におけるミュータントの解決策とは？

2. もしミュータントがスポーツを不公平にしている場合、それでも2020年の東京オリンピックを見ますか？

3. スポーツや人生において、「不正」の定義とは？

皆さんはこのテーマについてどのように考えますか。

英語が苦手な方でも、初めての方でも大丈夫です！
