Regarding use of these facilities

This facility is intended for Osaka University faculty, staff, and students, patients being treated at Osaka University Hospital/Osaka University Dental Hospital, visitors with a definite purpose and/or their family members on a weekly and/or monthly basis (for stays of 7 nights or longer, in principle).

Monthly rent

Daily rent (monthly rates)

*Note: Fees are assessed for each day you make use of accommodations for long stays. Ex.: If you check in on April 1 and check out on April 10, you will be charged for 10 days.

Weekly rent

Reservations

Individuals who wish to stay at the Osaka University Kasugaoka House (for long stays) should download an application form, fill in all required information, and inform the Manager's Office, Kasugaoka House.

*As a general rule, to prevent any leaks of personal information, the university prohibits sending files via email.

• OU members: Use the file sharing system recommended by the university (i.e. saving the file to a network folder, sharing the file in OneDrive on ICHO, Microsoft SharePoint, or Microsoft Teams, setting up Azure Information Protection (AIP), etc.)
• Individuals from outside the university: Perform all possible security measures to prevent leaks of personal information, such as setting a password when sending files via email.

Outline of the facilities

Reception hours: 8:00am ~ 9:00pm (excluding the New Year holidays)

• We ask that you please check-in between 3:00pm and 9:00pm in the Manager's Office.
• Please check-out between 8:00 am and 10:00 am.
  *Individuals staying in Accommodations for Long Stays (room types A, B, and C) must undergo a room check by the manager by the day before they check out.

Period of stay

• In principle, more than 1 month but less than 2 years
  • *Weekly stay: minimum of 7 nights (Stays of fewer than 7 nights will also be charged for 7 nights)

Reservation window

You can make your reservation starting one year from the first day of your stay.

Points of caution regarding rental fees

Utility charges (electricity, gas and water) and cleaning fee upon leaving are included in rental fee rates.

Payment methods

• Pay monthly rent with a credit card by the last day of each month. -> House Manager's Office, 1F Lobby, Kasugaoka House (Cards accepted: VISA, MasterCard, China UnionPay)
• Those without a credit card are asked to pay via transfer to a designated university account. (Transfer fees must also be paid at the guest's expense.)
• If you leave before the end of the month, please pay by the day that you plan to leave.
• Those who wish to have their fees covered by subsidies for operational costs or grants-in-aid for scientific research are requested to make an accommodation reservation and (once their reservation number has been finalized) apply to the accountant clerk at their host school or research institute using the forms linked below.

• C Type (4 rooms)

Cancellation fees

• Please make a reservation after the length of your stay has been decided so as to eliminate the need to cancel/change your reservation.
• Under no circumstances are rental fees refunded.
• If you do cancel your reservation after the day on which you entered (or were to enter), you will be charged a cancellation fee in accordance with the Kasugaoka House Cancellation Policy.
• Cancellations on the day of your stay: 100% of the accommodation fee
• No-shows: 100% of the accommodation fee

• The manager at the Kasugaoka House can respond to your questions and requests in English.
• Individuals utilizing accommodations for long stays (Types A, B, and C) must be present in their room for inspections upon check out. Please note that in some cases, cleaning/repair fees may be assessed.
• There is no parking available, so please utilize public transportation such as trains or buses when visiting these facilities.
• For security reasons, doors are equipped with an autolock (except guest room doors).
• This facility is completely non-smoking. (There are smoking areas outside of this building.)
• Internet access is available free of charge.
• If you rent on a weekly basis, you will be provided with bath towels, bath mats, and face towels, but they will not be changed. You are required to wash or replenish as needed.
• If you rent on a monthly basis, you will not be provided with bath towels, bath mats, and face towels. Please bring your own towels.
• Bathrooms are furnished with toilet paper. Please replenish as needed.
• You can use a futon dryer. Please ask the Manager's Office.

Access Information

• Osaka Monorail

From Bampaku-kinenkōen Station: Take the train bound for Saito-nishi Station. Get off at Handai-byoin-mae Station. The Kasugaoka House is a 5-minute walk from the station.

• Kintetsu Bus

From Hankyu Ibaraki-shi Station or JR Ibaraki Station: Take the Route 24 bus bound for Handai-Hombu-Mae or Mihogaoka, or the Route 25 bus bound for Handai-Hombu-Mae. Get off at the Handai-Igakubu-Byoin-Mae bus stop. The Kasugaoka House is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Hankyu Bus

From Senri-Chuo: Take the Route 164/171 bus bound for Handai-Hombu-Mae, or the Route 103/105 bus bound for Ibaraki-Mihogaoka. Get off at the Handai-Igakubu-Byoin-Mae bus stop. The Kasugaoka House is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

From Kita-Senri: Take the Route 72 bus bound for Senri Chuo. Get off at the Handai-Igakubu-Byoin-Mae bus stop. The Kasugaoka House is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
