Regarding the status of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases of Osaka University members (June 4, 2021)

In an update on June 3, 2021, it was announced that one student had tested positive for COVID-19, but it was later discovered following additional testing that this student did not test positive for COVID-19.

Total COVID-19 cases at Osaka University (as of June 4, 2021)

• Students - 190

When an individual tests positive for COVID-19, Osaka University responds to the case and potential high-risk contacts in coordination with a designated health center, while designating high-risk contacts via its own criteria and instructing those individuals to monitor their health and remain at home to prevent the spread of infection.
