Case identified on September 4th

A student from Osaka University tested positive for COVID-19 on September 4.

Details of the affected student's activity are as follows:

The student developed a fever on Monday, August 31 and tested positive for COVID-19 via a PCR test on Friday, September 4. The affected student is currently being treated at a designated lodging facility.

The affected student has not been to the university since mid-February.

An investigation of the affected student's activity history by a Health Center found one high-risk contact (another OU student). This high-risk contact tested positive for COVID-19 via a PCR test on Saturday, September 5 and is receiving treatment at a designated lodging facility.
