Application guidelines for the Enrollment/Tuition Fee Exemption Program

*Note: For undergraduate students, two types of application guidelines are provided, which vary by enrollment year, so please read the appropriate guidelines when preparing your application.

Tuition Fee Exemption for Students Whose Household Has Experienced a Sudden Loss of Income Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic (for the second half of the 2021-22 academic year)

Intended for: Regular undergraduate and graduate students (including international students)

This tuition fee exemption will be implemented as an exceptional measure using the government’s budgetary measures to help students facing economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Osaka University will screen applicants based on screening criteria different from those for the university’s Enrollment/Tuition Fee Exemption Program.

If in the future the government discontinues these budgetary measures, students hoping for tuition fee exemption should apply for the university's Enrollment/Tuition Fee Exemption Program.

Those interested in making an application should peruse this file.
