National Archives of Japan Exhibition coming to Osaka University

The National Archives of Japan will hold traveling exhibitions at archive repositories and museums throughout Japan so that more people can view archives stored by The National Archives of Japan. The exhibition of the National Archives of Japan will be held at the Main Library of Osaka University. Osaka University is the first university to hold such an event.

Major materials on display

  • The Political Statement for Democratic Representation to the Government
  • The Constitution of Japan (replica)
  • Maps of war damages for Sakai City, Ikeda City, Suita city, etc.
  • Application for permission for the establishment of Osaka University
  • Osaka University archives in possession of Osaka University

Period: Friday, February 22, 2013 ~ Saturday, March 9, 10:30 a.m. ~ 5:00 p.m.

Closed: Sunday, February 24, Sunday, March 3
