Day/time changes for OU online counseling sessions about higher education

To high school students and other prospective students,

As previously announced on May 12, Osaka University has been holding individual online counseling sessions about higher education in order to help high school students and other prospective students in making decisions regarding their future.

Since high schools have resumed classes, Osaka University will now be holding these online counseling sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00~7:30 pm from the month of June.

These counseling sessions have been a huge success, with 38 groups of high school students and prospective students having already participated over 5 days of sessions since they began on May 13. These sessions have covered a wide variety of topics, from specific questions such as “I want to study automatic driving and robotics. Could you tell me what kind of things I can learn in the Division of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Science at the School of Engineering?” to concerns such as “I’m good at English, math, and Japanese, so I’m studying in a liberal arts course in high school. However, I’m not sure what I want to do in the future, so I'm having trouble choosing a major. What should I do?”

Though the state of emergency in Japan has been lifted and schools around Japan are gradually returning to normal, the future remains unclear. In these uneasy times, we're delighted to be able to speak with students who have shown an interest in our university.

If you have the time, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
