Electricity Consumption Visualization System -- online!

2011-6-15(Wed)

In an effort to create a smaller carbon footprint and contribute to energy conservation, Osaka University established the Environment and Energy Management Department. The introduction of the Electricity Consumption Visualization System brings our efforts to reduce the consumption of electricity on our campuses as a whole to a new level.

With the introduction last year of the Electricity Consumption Visualization System, the level of electricity consumption in some 180 buildings on Suita, Toyonaka, and Minoh campuses is now collected, analyzed, and shown in real time. By broadcasting this data via our web pages, all OU personnel will gain a greater understanding and conserve electric power more efficiently.

We hope that all members of the Osaka University community will assist in implementing effective and timely measures to further reduce consumption.
