Two Railway Stations Given OU Namesake

On Tuesday, October 1, the names of two of the closest railway stations to Osaka University, Ishibashi Station of Hankyu Railway and Shibahara Station of the Osaka Monorail, were changed to Ishibashi handai-mae Station and Shibahara-handai-mae Station , respectively.

Note: "Handai" is the Japanese nickname of Osaka University and the new name indicates that the station is the nearest station to Osaka University (specifically, its Toyonaka Campus).

We hope that this will further strengthen the bonds between the local population and Osaka University and contribute to continued activity of both the university and the region.
