2019 Autumn Graduation Ceremony held

The Autumn Graduation Ceremony at Osaka University was held in the Convention Center on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Degrees were conferred upon a total of 263 graduates, including 17 bachelor's, 92 master's, and 154 doctor's degrees (including 2 graduates from the Program for Leading Graduate Schools).

During his congratulatory speech, President NISHIO Shojiro gave an empowering message to the new graduates, saying, “If you feel that there is something wrong or you have something that you cannot agree with in your business or research activity, you must stop to consider if what you are doing conflicts with the matured spirit that you cultivated at OU – I want you to become citizens who can do that. I ask you to reexamine your position from a comprehensive point of view before taking your next step.”

He concluded with some words of encouragement: “Osaka University will continue to be right here for you all. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.”
