Dr. OKUDA Jun and Dr. Jochen Büchs of RWTH Aachen University receive honorary degrees from Osaka University

Since 2010, under the Japanese-German Graduate Externship supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), RWTH Aachen University and Osaka University have constructed an collaborative research and education system that sends internationally-minded students into society.

To honor the accomplishments of Dr. OKUDA Jun and Dr. Jochen Büchs, who have  contributed to the program from the time of its adoption through to this year, the last year of the program, Osaka University presented an honorary degree to both individuals on Thursday, September 13.

Honorary degrees from Osaka University are presented to individuals for their outstanding accomplishments in research and education at Osaka University through international exchange. Dr. Okuda and Dr. Büchs are the 7th and 8th recipients of this honorary degree.
