Institute for Advanced Co-Creation Studies Kickoff Symposium held

On Monday, December 11, 2017, the Institute for Advanced Co-Creation Studies Kickoff Symposium was held on the Suita Campus.

Over 100 individuals were in attendance, including individuals from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), various corporations, and Osaka University.

This symposium was held from 3pm on the 2F Conference Room in the Innovative Co-Creation Building. Following a greeting from Director of the Institute for Advanced Co-Creation Studies and Osaka University President NISHIO Shojiro, guest greetings from MURASE Kota (Director, Office of University Technology Transfer, University-Industry Collaboration and Regional R&D Division, Science and Technology Policy Bureau, MEXT), YAMANISHI Koichi (Director General, BIKEN Foundation, Osaka University), and KAWAHARA Katsumi (Vice Director, Technology and Innovation Center, Daikin Industries, Ltd.).

Later, Executive Vice President and Vice Director of the Institute for Advanced Co-Creation Studies YAGI spoke about the Institute, which was followed by a presentation of research results from 4 Specially Designated Professors.

A number of questions were asked at the Q&A session at the end of the symposium, making for a meaning exchange of ideas.

This Institute will continue to hire outstanding young researchers and promote world-leading research and research that will become the mainstay of joint research, further developing Osaka University's Industry on Campus.
