OU Ranked 1st in Japan, 31st Globally on Nature Index's 2017 Innovation Tables

On August 10, Nature announced the Nature Index 2017 Innovation tables, with Osaka University ranked 31st in the world, making it the highest ranked Japanese university on the list.

The Nature Index 2017 Innovation tables show the influence of research conducted by academic institutes on the development of products and services by investigating not patents held by those academic institutes but patents held by third parties (patents in which academic literature is quoted or cited as a reference.)
