Osaka University, National Institutes of Biomedical Innovation, Health and Nutrition, and Daikin Industries sign joint declaration to further strengthen development of female researchers

Under the motto of "Live Locally, Grow Globally," Osaka University is a pioneer in industry-university-government collaboration. Osaka University, the National Institutes of Biomedical Innovation, Health and Nutrition (NIBIOHN), and Daikin Industries, in a strategic partnership, have signed a joint declaration to further strengthen development of female researchers, who serve as the foundation for the realization of a diverse environment.

The declaration was signed by NISHIO Shojiro (President, Osaka University), YONEDA Yoshihiro (Director, NIBIOHN), and INOUE Noriyuki (Chairman of the Board/Global Group Representative, Daikin) on Thursday, September 1 at Osaka University Nakanoshima Center.

Background of the Joint Declaration

Osaka University was selected to the 2016-2017 MEXT Initiative for the Implementation of the Diversity Research Environment (Collaboration Type) " .

Over the course of 10 years, Osaka University has collaborated in research and education with both NIBIOHN and Daikin. As an implementation structure for this project, the Osaka Council for Collaboration to Promote Gender Equality was established in 2016, and in 2019, the "Cluster for Cycle-Oriented Development of Female Researchers" will be constructed, renewing our determination to serve as powerful leaders for the promotion of success for female researchers.
