Following an opening speech by President NISHIO Shojiro and an address by Toyonaka Mayor ASARI Keiichiro, a lecture was held by 2008 Nobel Prize in Physics recipient and Distinguished Honorary Professor KOBAYASHI Makoto, followed by a message from 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics recipient and University of Texas, Austin Professor Steven Weinberg, providing those in attendance with an opportunity to hear interesting stories about Professor Nambu and look back on his achievements, which can provide valuable hints on how to further expand the field of physics.
