"Tobitate!" Send-Off Party

2015-3-3(Tue)

A send-off party was held at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Amphitheater on Sunday, March 1, 2015, for the second group of students (first half of 2015/2016 academic year) to go overseas on the public-private study abroad support system "Tobitate! [Fly away!]" Study Abroad Program. Of the six Osaka University students chosen to participate in the program, four of them attended the event.

Representatives from program sponsors, associations, universities, MEXT and the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), and even Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology SHIMOMURA Hakubun, gathered to show their support. Those students in attendance were able to renew their intent to study abroad and network with other students, as well as representatives from MEXT and JASSO.

We look forward to seeing these six OU students thrive as they fly out into the world as representatives of Japan.
