Social gathering held in Tokyo for Osaka University and press personnel

On March 26, Osaka University Tokyo Office held a social gathering for press personnel in Tokyo. Although Osaka University has sporadically held press conferences in Tokyo on the results of research at OU, now, with a greatly expanded presence in the Kanto region, Osaka University's March 26 event was attended by over 20 press personnel from 7 different companies.

President Toshio HIRANO spoke informally for a good hour, talking on a variety of topics such as OU's unique aspects and strong points as well as the type of university OU aims to become. Following the social gathering, an opening ceremony for the Tokyo Office was held, effectively becoming a promotion event for Osaka University for those in attendance.

The Osaka University Tokyo Office holds social gatherings several times each year.
