Agreement signed for Cooperation among National University Corporations in the Kinki region in the event of a large-scale disaster

On Monday, February 10, Osaka University and other 12 national university corporations in the Kinki region signed an agreement of cooperation among national university corporations in the Kinki region in the event of a large-scale disaster. This agreement was concluded after deliberations based on the consensus by the 13 universities last year and aims to provide relief supplies and dispatch faculty and staff members to disaster-stricken universities. These universities will deepen the cooperation contained in the agreement, share information about disaster countermeasures, and provide assistance tailored to the request of a disaster-stricken university.

The 13 universities include Shiga University, Shiga University of Medical Science, Kyoto University, Kyoto University of Education, Kyoto Institute of Technology, Osaka University, Osaka Kyoiku University, Hyogo University of Teacher Education, Kobe University, Nara University of Education, Nara Women's University, Wakayama University, and Nara Institute of Science and Technology.
