From the 3 student groups selected, representative FURUKAWA Keiko (4th year, Environmental Energy, School of Engineering) reported to President Toshio HIRANO on Tuesday, February 4, explaining about results of their participation in the Japan and the Netherlands Student Conference supported by Future Funds Globalization Support Project (Financial Aid for Overseas Group Training). In all, 15 students attended the conference with 10 in attendance on Tuesday.

President Hirano thanked them, encouraging them with, "Please pass this type of opportunity on to underclass students and the next generation. Moreover, learning acquired by study is a universal language; please continue to deepen your learning and thereby broadening your world."

Osaka University has established the Future Funds Globalization Support Project (Financial Aid for Overseas Group Training) in order to foster the ability of Osaka University students to take the initiative, to make plans, and put them into action. To this end, OU provides selected student groups with the opportunity to engage in overseas exchange and training activities planned by themselves. The Globalization Support Project is just one of the projects of Osaka University Future Fund’s 100th Anniversary Dream Fundraising campaign.
