Cooperation arrangement with Hyogo Prefectural Board of Education


On Tuesday, January 21, Osaka University and the Hyogo Prefectural Board of Education signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement  in order to further enhance the quality of education at the university and at senior high schools. The signing ceremony was held at Hyogo Prefecture Guest House (in Chuo-ku, Kobe).

In attendance were President Toshio HIRANO and Trustee and Vice President Kiyoshi HIGASHIJIMA from Osaka University and, from Hyogo Prefectural Board of Education, School Superintendent Yoshiro TAKAI and High School Education Division Manager Kenji NAKANO.

After signing the agreement, President Hirano and Superintendent Mr. Takai shook hands, confirming future cooperation between both. A specific example of future cooperation is a joint workshop between OU and Super Science High Schools (SSH) in Hyogo Prefecture being held at Osaka University Hall on February 15. Osaka University will further promote cooperation with the board of education in order to provide outstanding Hyogo Prefecture high school students with opportunities for increased familiarity with the university.
