Professors MIZUGUCHI and TAKEISHI announced as winners of Award for Persons of Merit in Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration

The Cabinet Office announced on August 30 that MIZUGUCHI Hiroyuki, Professor, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and TAKEISHI Ken-ichiro, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, have been selected as winners of the 10th Award for Persons of Merit in Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration.

This award recognizes successful achievements and people in university-industry-government collaboration. Projects and persons recommended by related government offices are evaluated on their achievements in terms of technology, marketing, social contributions, and collaboration.

This year, 14 projects were selected as worthy of these awards; two of the projects involve faculty at Osaka University.

The Awards Ceremony will be held at Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Meeting to be held in Tokyo on September 28.

Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Prize -- Commercialization of Liver Cells differentiated from Human iPS Cells

Keidanre Chairperson Prize -- Development of Cooling Technology for 1,700 degree C-class Gas Turbine

  • ITO Eisaku, Chief, Technology Division, Takasago Research & Development Center and Vice Manager, Gas Turbin Technology Department, Power Systems, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.
