Extracurricular Activities & Dealing with new A-type influenza

At this time, there have been reports of students who have contracted the new A type influenza participating in athletic meets sponsored by the Seven National Universities Athletic Conference or the Kinki District National University Athletic Conference and/or students becoming ill with the flu while attending training camps during the summer break.

In order to prevent the more rapid spread of this new influenza among Osaka University students as well as among students from other schools, advisers of all authorized Osaka University extracurricular activity groups are requested to note the pdf document linked below and to comply with the recommendations contained in that document.

Moreover, it would be greatly appreciated if all unofficial Osaka University student groups and circles would also take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of this illness.
