UC/UCEAP Osaka Office
Regarding the closure of the UC/UCEAP Osaka Office
Osaka University and the University of California (UC) have actively engaged in the exchange of their students and researchers since they signed an academic exchange agreement in January 2002.
Prior to the expiration, with a view to the renewal or revision of the agreement, OU held a meeting on December 31, 2023 and decided to close the UC/UCEAP Osaka Office as of December 31, 2023.
However, OU confirmed its commitment to promoting active student exchange with UC through mutual student exchange programs and short-term study abroad programs in a close cooperation with the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP).
OU will improve and expand exchange among students and researchers with UC colleges, primarily UC Davis and UC San Diego, two of Osaka University's Global Knowledge Partners.
