Issuing of Certificates

Registered students may make use of the automatic certificate issuing machine. Excepting student fare discount certificates and health certificates written in English, the automatic certificate issuing machine can issue the certificates indicated below for students, even for those whose registered names are written in the Latin alphabet. For certificates other than those listed below, please contact the Educational Affairs Division of your school or graduate school.

The Automatic Certificate Issuing Machine can issue the following types of certificates:

  • Fare discount certificates for student travel (3 copies a day, up to 10 copies a year). Students needing additional copies should contact the Educational Affairs Division of their school or graduate school.
  • Student registration certificates (*excepting certificates for students of the United Graduate School of Child Development)
  • Grades Certificates (excepting certificates for students of Dentistry and the United Graduate School of Child Development)
  • Certificates of expected graduation (for undergraduate students) and certificates of expected completion (for students in the last year of graduate school). Note: Certain schools have requirements regarding the issuing of the aforementioned certificates; please check with your school. (Students of the United Graduate School of Child Development must contact the school for these types of certificates.)
  • Health certificates In certain cases, students will have to contact the Health Center on their campus for a health certificate.

Note: Certificates are issued beginning in October.
*1. For certificates regarding the expected completion of a doctor's course, please contact your respective school.
*2. Students who have completed their master's and are advancing on to a doctor's, but who need certification of their master's are asked to choose between certification for grades received or certification of having completed the master's.
*3. For certificates other than those listed above, please contact the Education Affairs Division or Graduate Division of your school.
