Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research
  • This insurance is a nationwide system to indemnify students for the number of days that treatment is needed for injury incurred during regular curricular activities, extra curricular activities, or while commuting to and from university. All students are required to participate in this insurance plan. Students who have not completed the procedures for joining this insurance plan, or those who are repeating a year, are required to pay the insurance premium at a bank using the specified form available at Student Centers on the Toyonaka, Suita and Minoh campuses. (Personal Liability Insurance for Students should be paid at a Post Office.)
  • Personal Liability Insurance for Students --in Japanese, "Gakusei Kyoiku Kenkyu Baisho Sekinin Hoken" [short form: "Gakkenbai"]-- insures one against personal liability claims in the case of injury to someone or damage to another person's property during regular curricular activities, school events, internships, nursing care recognized as an extra curricular activity, teaching practice, child-care practice, or volunteer activities as well as during commuting to and from the sites of such activities. (However, medical related training such as clinical practice or nursing practice are excluded from this coverage.)

Necessary documents for all of the above are available at the Student Centers on Toyonaka, Suita and Minoh campuses.
