Introduction

Osaka University is promoting the improvement of the campus environment, educational activities, and the establishment of counseling services, focusing on furthering gender equality. These efforts aim to promote the quality of research and education at the university by empowering diverse personnel, particularly women, persons who may have been prevented from realizing their full potential due to social factors.  
Moreover, Osaka University is expanding employment opportunities for persons with challenges and working to improve their working environment.

• May 10, 2012 -- Fukushima Prefecture Gender Equality Centre is seeking a Participatory Research Project
  
• April 26, 2012 -- The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship was announced.
• April 23, 2012 -- Osaka University Basic Plan for Promoting Gender Equality  was announced.
• March 6, 2012 -- 2nd Gender Equality Seminar for 2011 was announced.
