The Development of Industry in Osaka and Osaka Industrial  School and Osaka Imperial University

Osaka Industrial  School was established in 1896 after the Japan-Sino War. The school changed its name into Osaka Industrial Senior School in 1901, Osaka Industrial University in 1929, and then turned into the School of Engineering, Osaka Imperial University in 1933. The university supported the development of industry in modern Osaka and Japan, producing many promising engineers. The scientific and rational spirit of Tekijuku has blossomed in various fields in modern times. This year, we will focus on the relationship between the development of advanced industrial education and industry development in Osaka. Much of the time will be devoted to a question and answer time so that the lecturer and audience can think about experiences of modern Osaka together.
