*Applications for the schools of Science, Engineering, and Engineering Science were handled jointly. An analysis of which applications were for which school was not conducted. The figures shown above are indicative only of how many applications were received.

*The value in the square brackets indicates the number of students who failed to pass due to scoring errors on the February 2017 Entrance Examination in Science (Physics) at Osaka University but whose additional admission to the first year course was approved. Thus, the total number of  students for 2018-19 excluding 9 students additionally enrolled is 3,343.
