Originally intended for international researchers/students staying one month or more, this facility is also available to researchers as well as university hospital [out-] patients and/or their family members on a weekly basis.

Outline of the different rooms available in Kasugaoka House

A type: 25 units (32 sq. m.)

Furnishings: semi-double bed, kitchen counter, cupboard, toast & bake microwave oven, TV (26")
 

B type: 12 units (65 sq. m.)

Furnishings: double bed, kitchen counter, toast & bake microwave oven, dishwasher/dryer, TV (32") w/ stand, dining table w/ chairs, sofa, living room lights

 

C type: 4 units (97 sq. m.)

Furnishings: double bed, kitchen counter, toast & bake microwave oven, dishwasher/dryer, TV (37") w/ stand, dining table w/ chairs, sofa, living room lights

All of the above units are furnished with: bedding, air conditioning, LAN port, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, washing/drying machine, hair dryer, toaster, iron, ironing stand, running hot water, tableware, basic kitchen utensils, desk, desk lamp, chair, mirror, laundry pole.

B type is furnished with only air conditioning: 7 units (65 sq. m.)

The Kasugaoka House offers the following: English-capable staff, good security (auto-lock of main entrance), maintenance of public areas and the garden area.

Room Rental Fees

Monthly Rental Fees (these fees do NOT include charges for utilities and house cleaning)

A type (1K): ¥70,000

B type (1LDK): ¥120,000

Unfurnished B type (1LDK): ¥100,000

C type (2LDK): ¥180,000

In the event of occupancy for a portion of a month:

If the occupant and members of his/her family begin occupancy after the first day of a month or terminate occupancy before the last day of a month, they only have to pay the monthly rent calculated as a fraction of the number of days of occupancy in that month.

A type (1K): ¥2,300

B type (1LDK): ¥4,000

Unfurnished B type (1LDK): ¥3,300

C type (2LDK): ¥6,000

Weekly rental fees (these fees include charges for utilities and house cleaning)

A type (1K): ¥28,000 for 7 nights

B type (1LDK): ¥52,500 for 7 nights

C type (2LDK): ¥77,000 for 7 nights

In the event of occupancy after 7 nights

If the occupant and members of his/her family continue occupancy after 7 nights, in addition to the initial weekly rental fee, a daily fee calculated as a fraction the number of additional nights will be charged.

A type (1K): ¥4,000

B type (1LDK): ¥7,500

C type (2LDK): ¥11,000

Regarding the payment of the monthly rent:

• Pay the monthly rent directly to the caretaker at the front desk by the last day of each month.
• If you cannot/do not pay, then the school or facility you are associated with will pay on your behalf.
• Under no circumstances are rental fees refunded.

Making application

• You can apply in advance of your planned occupancy by the same number of days as the length of your planned occupancy. 
• In principle, you are not allowed to change or cancel an application. Therefore, please make reservation after the length of stay is fixed. If you cancel after the day on which you entered (or were to enter), you will still be charged for one month's rent.
  

Terms of occupancy

Utility charges

Utility charges (electricity, gas and water) and telephone and Internet service fees are not included in the rent and must be paid separately. You are required to complete Internet service application by yourself.

Duration of stay

Individuals having a labor contract with the university: more than one month and within the contact period.
Others: more than one month but no more than a year. However, if approved necessary, the period can be extended, up to a maximum of one year.
