【助成の対象】

空間造形デザインの若手デザイナーの在外研修に対する助成

① エルゴデザインやユニバーサルデザインに関する在外研修

②  建築周辺環境に関するデザインの在外研修

 　建築デザイン・ランドスケープデザイン・パブリックアート等

③ 生活環境デザインの在外研修

　 住宅環境デザイン・インテリアデザイン・インダストリアルデザイン等

【 応募資格】 

①　当該申請分野において相当の実績があること。

②　申請締切日の時点で年齢35歳以下であり、日本国籍を有する者

③　研究指導者のもとで研修に従事し、研修受入れの保証があること。

　　また、研究の期間は常勤的な職につかないこと

④　外国での研修に耐えうる語学力を有し、心身とも健康であること。

　　海外での研修は、現在日本政府と国交が樹立している国、全てを対象とします

【研修に従事する機関】

①　大学（大学共同利用機関を含む）・国公立の研修期間

②　国又は公的な機関により認証されている機関及び施設

③　上記①、②に準ずる機関及び施設

④研修奨励金：月額15万円（年額180万円）

⑤採択数：2-3名 

⑥助成対象期間：令和9年4月から1年

1.　「令和9年度在外研修助成申請書」をダウンロード。必要事項をご記入し、完成させてください

2.　学会誌、専門誌等に発表した主要な論文、又は作品の写し3編以内（作品の写しはA4サイズ以内におさめてください。返却不可）

3.　現在の研修指導者の推薦書

4.　研修に従事する機関及び施設の受入承諾証明書

※2-4に関しては、それぞれ、PDF等データ化されメール送信可能なものをご用意ください。

FY2027 Grant Application Guidelines: Overseas Study

This grant provides financial support to young designers for their overseas study in the various forms of spatial design as described below.

1. Ergonomic and universal design

2. Environmental design around architecture  
   (architectural design, landscape design, public art, etc.)

3. Living environment design
   (residential environment design, interior design, industrial design, etc.)

【Eligibility】

1. Applicants must demonstrate a record of achievements in the field of design they apply to study or research.

2. Applicants must have Japanese nationality and be aged 35 or under as of the application deadline.

3. Applicants must have a guarantee of acceptance to undertake their study or research with the guidance of a research advisor; applicants must not hold a full-time position during the study or research period.

4. Applicants must have sufficient language proficiency for study outside of Japan and be in good physical and mental health.

    All countries with established diplomatic relations with the Japanese government are eligible destinations.

【Eligible Host Institutions】

1. Universities (including inter-university research institutes) and public research institutions

2. Institutions and facilities accredited by national or public organizations

3. Equivalent institutions and facilities to those mentioned in (1) and (2) above

【Grant Amount, etc.】

1. Grant amount: JPY150,000 per month (JPY1,800,000 annually)

2. Number of awards: Approximately 2 to 3

3. Grant period: Applicants must start their overseas study from in April 2027, with the grant covering a period of one year 

【Application Process】

1) Applicants must download the application form and application guidelines from the site below and complete the documents (in Japanese only):

2) Applicants must submit up to three representative papers (published in academic or professional journals) or works.
(Copies of their works must fit within A4 size; submitted materials will not be returned.)

3) Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a current research supervisor.

4) Applicants must submit a letter of acceptance from their host institute.

Note: Regarding 2) to 4), please prepare each copy as a digital file (e.g. PDF, etc.) that can be sent via email
