国際交流助成

■申請者資格

1) 国内で開催する自然科学の基礎的研究に関する本国際会議の開催責任者（主催者）であること

2) 日本の研究機関に所属する研究者であること。（ただし、国籍は問わない）

3) 申請時に開催が確定している国際会議であること。

4) 本国際会議は、参加者総数が50名以上500名以下で、かつ参加国が日本を含む2ヵ国以上であること。

5) 本国際会議の開始日が以下の期間内であること。

6) 本助成金における国際会議は、上位の大規模な国際会議下で開催されるシンポジウム、講演会、セミナー等を含むものとする。

7) 国内で開催される学術集会の定期的な総会、年会や季会は、申請の対象外とする。

8) 同一の開催責任者による申請は、同一申請年度で1 件までとする。

9) 当財団の理事・監事・評議員および選考委員による申請はできない。

■助成額：1件 上限 50 万円

■採択件数：前期 8 件以内、後期 12 件以上（全 20 件）

■申請方法■

1) 当財団HPにある助成金の申請方法ページ （https://www.naito-f.or.jp/jp/joseikn/jo_index.php?data=apply）の手順に従い、申請Webサイトより申請すること。

2) 開催趣意書（収支予算書を含む）ならびにプログラム・アブストラクト、会議の概要・ 規模が分かる資料を申請 Webサイトにアップロードすること

3) 申請書には次項５)の要件を満たす方の推薦を受け、推薦者の公印（所属機関役職印）を押印すること。

尚、推薦者が当財団の理事・監事・評議員の場合は、私印とする。

4) 本助成金への推薦件数 1 推薦者につき前後期各 1 件

5) 推薦者要件

(１)申請者の所属先が「大学関係」の場合

  ① 大学院：研究科長

  ② 学 部：学部長

  ③ 当財団の理事会が承認した附置研究所、研究センタ—：研究所長・センタ—長

  ④ 大学病院：医学研究科長（又は医学部長）

  ⑤ ①②③④以外の大学組織（研究施設等）：学長 ※ただし、⑤において学長推薦による申請者がいない場合は、①②③④に所属 する申請者の学長推薦を可とする

6) 申請締切日

　前期：2026年5月29日（金）

　※学長推薦を必要とする応募者：2026年5月8日（金）17：00【時間厳守】まで国際学術係まで申請書類を提出の事

International Conference Grant

FY 2026 (First Term) Application Guidelines

ⅰ. Outline

This grant provides financial support for organizing relatively small international conferences in Japan related to basic research, new research fields, or challenging research projects in the natural sciences.

2. Eligibility

1) Applicants must be the principal organizer (person responsible) of an international conference on basic research in the natural science to be held in Japan.

2) Applicants must be researchers affiliated with a research institution in Japan. Applicants of any nationality are eligible.

3) This grant supports international conferences that have been confirmed at the time of application.

4) International conferences must have a total number of participants between 50 and 500, and must include participants from at least two countries, including Japan.

5) International conferences must be held within the following period.

6) Symposia, lectures, seminars, and similar events held under the framework of a larger international conference are also eligible.

7) Regular general meetings, annual meetings, or seasonal meetings of academic societies held in Japan are not eligible.

8) Applicants may submit only one application per year.

9) Directors, auditors, councilors, and selection committee members of The Naito Foundation are not eligible to apply.

3. Amount: Up to JPY 500,000 per conference

4. Number of Grants: Total: 20 grants (First Term: up to 8; Second Term: 12 or more).

5. Application process

１）Applicants must apply via the application website in accordance with the instructions on the Foundation’s website (in Japanese only): 公益財団法人 内藤記念科学振興財団

２）Applicants are required to upload a statement of purpose for holding the conference (including a budget), the program/abstracts, and other materials that show the overview and scale of the conference via the application website (in Japanese only): https://grant.naito-f.or.jp/login.html

3) The application form must include a recommendation from an eligible recommender (see Qualifications of recommendations) below) and must bear the recommender’s official seal (institutional/title seal).

If the recommender is a director, auditor, or councilor of the Foundation, a personal seal must be used instead.

Qualifications of recommendations

ⅰ.  Graduate school: Dean of the Graduate School

ⅱ.  Faculty or Undergraduate school: Dean of the Faculty or Dean of the Graduate School

ⅲ.  Affiliated Research Institutes or Center approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors

ⅳ.  University Hospital: Dean of the Graduate School of Medicine (or Dean of the School of Medicine)

Ⅴ.　If an applicant’s affiliation does not fall under categories ⅰ-ⅳ (e.g., other university research facilities), a recommendation from the university president is required. The application form must be submitted to the International Affairs Division by 17:00 (JST) on 8 May 2026.

Note

ⅰ. Each recommender may submit up to one recommendation in each term (First Term and Second Term).

ⅱ. Directors of facilities or hospitals are not covered as recommenders

ⅲ. Self-nomination is not acceptable.

6) Application Period

First Terms: 29 May 2026

Note: If the applicant is a dean or director, the application form must be submitted to the International Affairs Division by 17:00 (JST) on, 8 May 2026.
