（公財）中谷財団【海外留学】2025年度募集
＜対象研究分野＞
「BME（Bio Medical Engineering）分野 ～生命科学と理工学の融合境界領域～」
■医療や人々の健康に貢献しうる独創的でイノベーティブなアプローチをおこなう研究を対象とします。
■BME を補足する言葉として、「生命科学と理工学の融合境界領域」と付記しました。
生物学、医学等を生命科学とし、物理学や化学等の応用を工学としたうえで数学やAIなど情報科学も含むことを明確にする意味で工に理を加えて理工学とし、それらが連携した研究領域が対象であることを示す融合境界領域という言葉で表現しました。
■医療の発展や健康の増進を見据えた幅広い研究分野において、基礎から応用まで広く対象とします。

◆応募資格
・大学およびこれに準ずる研究機関に属する研究者または技術者で、現在の所属機関を休職し私費で留学する者
（海外の大学院博士後期課程に進学する場合も対象とする）
・募集締切日に40歳以下の者で、日本国籍または日本の永住権を有する者（但し、ライフイベントにより研究から離れた期間を考慮します）
・既に留学中の者は除きます。◆条件
・留学先が発行した留学期間(開始日と終了日)が明記されている入学許可書等を提出すること。
・留学中に現在の所属機関より報酬が支払われないこと。（所属機関からの報酬がある場合は、私費留学とはみなしませんので、ご応募いただけません。）◆応募方法：Web申請
本財団ホームページの「マイページ」よりログインし、申請書類をダウンロードして書類作成の上、所定のファイル形式で提出（アップロード）する。
※初めての方はマイページの登録を行い、ID・パスワードを取得すること。
※申請書類の作成にあたり、本財団ホームページの「よくあるご質問」を確認すること。
◆募集期間
2025年8月1日（金）～ 9月16日（火）24：00までに申請完了すること。

*Grants for Study Abroad
1) Eligible research fields:
BME (Bio Medical Engineering) - Transdisciplinary research field integrating life sciences and engineering
■ This foundation aims to support research with creative and innovative approaches that contribute to medical care and human health.
■ BME encompasses the transdisciplinary research field integrating life sciences and engineering.
■ This foundation supports a wide range of research, from basic to advanced.
2) Application period: Friday, 1 August 2025 to Tuesday, 16 September 2025
3) Grant period:
Short-term: One month up to 11 months
Long-term: One year up to 3 years
4) Number of grants: Approximately 10 in total (long-term and short-term)
Amount of grant: ¥500,000 per month for living expenses, and up to ¥300,000 for travel expenses
5) Eligibility:
1: This fund is open to researchers or engineers affiliated with universities or research institutions who will take a leave of absence to study abroad at their own expense. Those entering doctoral programs at overseas universities are also eligible.
2: Applicants must be 40 years old or younger as of the deadline (16 September 2025), and either Japanese nationals or permanent residents of Japan.
Applicants whose studies or research have been interrupted due to life events or other reasons may be eligible. Please contact the Foundation’s office for details.
Note: Applicants currently studying abroad are ineligible.
Conditions
1.Applicants are required to submit an admission letter issued by the host institution specifying the start and end dates of the study period.
2. Applicants who receive remunerations from their current affiliated institutions are not eligible.

所属部局の担当者に応募予定であることを連絡し、必要な手続きを確認してください。
ただし、医学系研究科に所属している方は、部局確認が「必要」となっていなくても、応募を予定している場合は必ず担当係（総務課企画係）へ問い合わせてください。

公印押印箇所以外の総長（学長）名等を含む必要箇所を全て記載し、所属部局の担当者経由で申請してください。
