◆応募資格：学術集会等の会長

• ◆招聘される研究者資格：招聘される研究者は学術集会において招待講演あるいは特別講演を行う外国在住の研究者であって、一般の口頭発表あるいはポスター発表を行う研究者等は対象外
• ◆助成金額:50 万円以内／件
• ◆助成件数：前・後半期併せて 6-8件程度
• ◆募集期間：令和 7 年(2025年) 11 月 1 日～12月 15 日
• 2026年度前半期（4月～9月）に開催予定の学術集会等に対して
• ※2025 年度後半期（10月～3月）に開催予定の学術集会等に対する令和 7 年(2025年) 5 月 1 日～6 月 15 日の募集は終了しています。
• ◆申請時必要書類
• ①海外招聘補助金申請書（講演要旨等を含む）（※）
• ②招聘される研究者の講演依頼承諾書（電子メール可）の写し
• ③招聘される研究者が招待講演あるいは特別講演で発表することが明記されている当該学術集会等のプログラム
• （ただし、申請時に間に合わない場合は提出予定時期を記載した理由書を提出することで申請可能。採択された場合には、学術集会等開始1か月前までに事務局宛てに提出すること。
• 提出を確認後に振込み手続きを行う。提出できない場合は採用を取り消すことがある。）

Grant for Invitation Assistance

1. Outline

This program provides financial support for travel and accommodation expenses to invite researchers residing outside of Japan to deliver invited or special lectures at academic meetings held in Japan related to drug discovery and life sciences.

Applications for this grant are accepted twice a year: for academic meetings scheduled in the first half of the fiscal year ( from April to September) and in the second half (from October to March).

2. Eligibility

Chairs of academic meetings (conference presidents or organizing committee chairs)

3. Eligibility of Invited Researchers 

Invited researchers must be residing outside Japan and scheduled to deliver invited or special lectures at academic meetings. Researchers giving general presentations or poster presentations are not eligible.

4. Total Amount: Within ￥500,000 per applicant

5. Number of Grants: Approximately 6-8, across the first and second half of the year combined

6. Application Period: Academic meetings scheduled in the first half (April through September) of FY 2026: Saturday, 1 November 2025 to Monday, 15 December 2025.

Applications for academic meetings scheduled in the second half of FY 2025 are closed.

Application period: Thursday, 1 May 2025 to Sunday, 15 June 2025

7. Required Documents 

ⅰ. Application form for Invitation Assistance Grant (including an abstract of the lecture)

ⅱ. A copy of the letter of acceptance from the invited researcher (E-mail acceptable)

ⅲ. The program of the academic meeting as evidence that the invited researcher will deliver a lecture.

If the program is not available at the time of application, a statement of reasons specifying the expected submission date must be submitted to the foundation.

The payment procedure of the grant will be carried out after the submission is confirmed. Failure to submit the program may result in cancellation of the awarded grant.
