国際交流助成

【1. 対象者資格】

次の条件をいずれも満たす者

1)日本国籍または日本国の永住権を有する者

2) 2027年4月1日現在、博士の学位を取得後5年未満の者（2022年4月2 日以降に学位を取得した者。申請時において取得見込みでも構わない） 

出産、育児休暇等の理由で研究活動を中断した研究者は、年齢上限を考慮する場合があるので事務局に事前に相談すること

3) 感染症領域若しくは血液領域の研究に関する業績を有し、それら領域の研 究目的で留学する者

4) 当財団の助成期間中の年収※が600万円以下の者 

※給与に奨学金や助成金が補填される場合はそれらを含まない

5) 1年以上の海外留学を受け入れる大学等学術研究機関が決定している者

【２.対象外】

1) 2028年3月までに帰国する者

2)学生として海外の大学又は大学院へ留学する者

3)通算２年以上研究留学の経験がある者

4) 民間企業に所属する研究者 

5) 他機関・他財団の大型留学助成（400万円超）を受領している者

【３.推薦者】

１.総合大学

① 大学院研究科長

② 学部長

③ 病院長

④ 当財団が承認した大学附置研究所等の代表責任者

(注) 但し、大学院研究科長と学部長が同一の場合は1件の推薦とする

2. 大学以外の研究機関：当財団が承認した研究機関の代表責任者

4.申請方法：申請者は当財団のホームページのWeb申請画面から申請する

5.締切日：2026年10月31日(土)

6.採択件数：3名程度

7.給付額：500万円

Study Abroad Scholarship

1. Eligibility

Applicants must meet all the following criteria:

1) Applicants must be Japanese nationals or hold permanent residence in Japan.

2) Applicants must have obtained their doctoral degree on or after April 2, 2022.Applicants expecting to obtain their doctoral degree at the time of application are also eligible.

For researchers with significant life events such as childbirth, the age limit may be extended.

Applicants in this situation should contact the institute in advance.

3) Applicants must demonstrate a substantiated record of research achievements in the fields of infectious diseases or hematology and must intend to enter a research program outside of Japan within one of these disciplines.

4) Applicants' annual income during the scholarship period must not exceed six million yen. 

Scholarships or grants that supplement an applicant’s salary shall not be included in this limit.

5) Applicants must have secured formal acceptance from a university or academic research institution capable of hosting a research stay of one year or longer.

2. Non-eligibility

Individuals meeting any of the following criteria shall not be eligible

1) Those scheduled to return to Japan on or before March 2028

2) Those who intend to enroll as students at an overseas university or graduate school

3) Those who have a total of two years or more of research experience outside Japan

4) Those affiliated with for‑profit organizations 

5) Those receiving large-scale overseas research grants exceeding four million yen from other organizations or foundations

3. Letters of Recommendation　

Recommenders should be as follows.

1. Comprehensive and multidisciplinary universities:

(1) Dean of a graduate school

(2) Dean of a faculty

(3) Director of a university hospital

(4) Director (or equivalent) of a university-affiliated research institute, as approved by the institute

(Note: In cases where the dean of a graduate school and the dean of a faculty are the same individual, they may only write one nomination.)

2. Research Institutions

Head of the research institution if the head had been approved by KAKETSUKEN
