国際交流助成

【応募資格】

日本に在住する令和9年4月1日現在30歳以下の者で、令和9年度中（2027年 4 月1日から2028年3月31日までに入学）に留学開始し、かつ、次のいずれにも該当する者であることとします。

(1) 海外の大学（又はこれに準ずる機関）の修士号又は博士号を取得するために留学する者

(2) 学業、人物ともに優秀であって、健康である者

(3) 外国語能力について、留学先での教育研究に支障のない者

(4) 国際理解及び我が国と諸外国との友好、親善に寄与できる者

注1　日本に永住を許可されている外国人は、応募できます。

（「在留カード」 又は「特別永住者証明書」の写しを1部提出してください。）

注２  応募時に留学等で海外に在住している者（国内在住であっても、海外の 大学等に学籍を有する者を含む）

       及び応募時以降留学開始以前に海外に在住することが予定されている者は、応募できません。

◆採用予定数：約10名

【奨学金の給付額】

(1) 奨学金 月額 40万円

(2) 支度金  50 万円（往路渡航費分含む）

(3) 復路航空賃 留学終了後の帰国時1回分

(4) 授業料 留学当初の2年間に限り、年間300万円以内を支給します。 (ただし、実際に負担する場合のみ。)

【応募手続】

応募者は、 申請用の 【 奨学生・研究助成システム 】を使用し提出してください。

(1) 提出書類等

①　顔写真

②　申請書　システム上に入力する情報と、別途作成の上アップロードする資料

③　履歴書　高校卒業から以降（卒業高校名を含む）を記入のこと。

④　推薦書　原則として指導教官のもの。

⑤　成績証明書　学部及び大学院 （所属した大学学部以降の全て。「修士課程・博士課程1年に在学中」で、応募時にその課程 の成績が確定していない場合は、成績表に代わって「在学証明書」を必ず提出すること。

⑥　語学テスト等の点数や語学検定試験の合格を証明するもの （氏名と点数が確認できるWEBページをPDF化した物でも可とします）

⑦　公的身分証明書の写し 生年月日が記載 されているもの。 （日本に永住を許可されている外国人は、「在留カード」 又は「特別永住者証明書」の写し）

THE NAKAJIMA FOUNDATION FY 2027 Application Guidelines

Eligibility

Applicants must reside in Japan, be 30 years of age or younger as of April 1, 2027, and be scheduled to begin their study abroad between April 1, 2027, and March 31, 2028.

In addition, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

ⅰ Applicants must be individuals who will study abroad to obtain a master’s or doctoral degree from an overseas institution (or an equivalent institution).

ⅱApplicants must be of good academic standing, good character, and in sound health.

ⅲ. Applicants must possess a sufficient level of foreign language proficiency to engage effectively in education and research at the host institution.

ⅳ. The applicant is expected to contribute to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendly relations between Japan and other countries.

Note:

ⅰ.  Applicants who hold permission to reside in Japan are eligible to apply for this grant.

ⅱ.  Applicants must submit a copy of their Residence Card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate.

Ineligibility

The following individuals are not eligible to apply:

ⅰ.  Applicants residing overseas at the time of application are ineligible for this grant.

ⅱ. Those who, despite residing in Japan, are enrolled in or affiliated with an overseas university or institution.

ⅲ. Those who plan to reside overseas at any point between the time of application and the commencement of their study abroad.

Number of Grants: Approximately 10 applicants

Details:

ⅰ. Scholarship: JPY 400,000 per month

ⅱ. Settling in Allowance: JPY 500,000 (to cover one-way travel expenses)

ⅲ. The NAKAJIMA FOUNDATION provides return airfare (one time) upon completion of the research study.

ⅳ Tuition fee: Up to JPY 3,000,000 per year during the initial two-year period (only for actual costs incurred).

Duration of Scholarship

ⅰ. For master’s degree applicants: Up to a maximum of 2 years.

ⅱ. For doctoral (Ph.D.) degree applicants: Up to a maximum of 5 years

Note for Doctoral Degree Applicants:
For Ph.D. applicants whose desired study period exceeds two years, the scholarship will initially be granted for two years. Extension of the scholarship period will be subject to re-evaluation based on documents submitted during the study abroad period.

Important
The period for language training or similar preparatory courses is not included in the scholarship duration.
