国際交流助成

■助成対象者；2026 年4 月1 日から2027年 3 月 31 日の期間に、海外で開催されるバイオサイ エンス分野の学会、シンポジウムが対象。

■申 込 資 格

ⅰ.応募締切日に 35 歳以下の研究者。

ⅱ.過去に本財団から助成金を受領し 2 年間経過していない人は対象外。(第36 回研究助成・第 36 回国際交流助成(上期)以降の助成金受領者は対象外)

ⅲ.大学院生可。応募時の学部学生不可(6 年制の学部は 5 年生以上可)

ⅳ.社会人大学院生については、教育・研究・医療機関等に在籍している者は応 募を認めるが、企業等に在籍している者は応募不可。

■推 薦 者 ：申請者の現所属機関・研究室の上長（教授、主任研究員などの PI 相当職(注)）。 推薦者は 1 名のみ推薦可。上期に本助成を受領した研究者の推薦者は、その年度下 期は推薦できない。

※所属機関の長が申請者となる場合、学長推薦が必要。その場合国際学術係の提出期限：2月6日（金）10時（日本時間）

■助成金使途：

ⅰ.学会・シンポジウム等の参加経費（PCR 検査費・旅費・滞在費・参加費・懇 親会費・情報交換経費・発表資料作成費等）として助成する。

ⅱ.当財団は渡航に合わせて留学希望先や共同研究先等への訪問を推奨してい る。この訪問旅費等に一部充てることは構わない。

ⅲ.助成金より間接経費等として大学等が徴収することは認めない。

■助 成 金 額:年間予算総額８５０万円程度。（上期下期合わせて３５件程度）。

 当財団ホームページ(HP)から研究者登録を行い受付フォームに入力後、 PDF 版をアップロードする。捺印不要。

Grant for International Exchange

FY 2026 (First Term) Application Guidelines

1. Outline 

This foundation provides financial support for symposia related to the field of bioscience, to be held between Wednesday, 1 April 2026, and Wednesday, 31 March 2027.

Application Period: Sunday, 4 January 2026, to Saturday, 28 February 2026.

 2. Eligibility

ⅰ. Applicants must be 35 years of age or younger at the time of application.
ⅱ. Applicants who have received funding from this foundation in the past two years are not eligible.

ⅳ. Working graduate students affiliated with for-profit organizations are not eligible.

3. Letter of Recommendation

ⅰ Applicants are required to submit a letter of recommendation. Recommenders may include the dean or director of the applicant’s graduate school or research institution.

ⅱ. Each recommender may recommend only one applicant.

Note:  Applicants who are a dean or director must submit a letter of recommendation from the president of the University of Osaka

If applicants are a dean or director, the application form must be submitted to the International Affairs Division by 10:00(JST) on Friday, 6 February 2026.

ⅰ. This grant provides support for expenses related to participation in academic conferences and symposia (such as PCR test fees, travel and accommodation expenses, registration fees, reception fees, expenses for information exchange, and material preparation expenses).

ⅱ. This foundation encourages visits to prospective host institutions or collaborating research institutions overseas. It is acceptable to use the grant for travel expenses related to such visits.

ⅲ. The foundation does not permit universities or similar institutions to charge indirect costs or overhead fees using this grant.

5.  Allocation and Number of Grants

i.   Up to 8,500,000 yen as the total annual budget

ⅱ. Approximately 35 applicants will be selected in total (including both the first and second selection periods).

 ⅱ. Letter of Recommendation

Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation by one of the methods below:

ⅰ. The applicant submits a letter of recommendation signed by the dean or director of their graduate school or research institution.

ⅱ. The recommender submits a letter of recommendation directly to the foundation.

・      Before submitting the letter directly, the recommender must inform the foundation and obtain prior approval.

・      Once approved, the recommender may submit the letter with their signature.

・      The recommender should write “Recommendation Letter Submission for the International Exchange Grant” in the email subject line and upload the letter through the designated platform to complete the submission.

7. Application Period

ⅰ. First selection: Sunday, 4 January 2026 to Saturday, 28 February 2026

ⅱ. Second selection: Wednesday, 1 July 2026 to Monday, 31 Augst 2026
