◆助成金額

（1）短期派遣
我が国の上級研究者（教授級）および中堅研究者（准教授、講師、助教）を対象、派遣期間は原則３ヵ月以内。渡航費等と滞在費（上級研究者 20,000円／日、中堅研究者 15,000円／日）

（2）長期派遣
我が国の中堅研究者（准教授、講師、助教）を対象、派遣期間は原則1年以内。渡航費と滞在費（15,000円／日）

THE KAJIMA FOUNDATION 

Researcher Exchange Support: Short-term / Long-term Research Program

1. 1.Outline

To promote academic advancement and international exchange, the Foundation provides financial support for researchers who engage in natural sciences (including engineering), humanities, social sciences, and other interdisciplinary fields.

This grant supports the following research fields:

(1)  Improvement of urban and residential environments

(2)  Effective utilization of land and resources

(3)  Promotion of disaster prevention and crisis management

(4)  Preservation of cultural and natural environments

* Research may also include advanced technologies, such as social systems and information technologies, related to items (1) through (4).

2. Eligibility

Short-term Research Program

(1)  Applicants must be senior or mid-career researchers, based in Japan, such as professors, associate professors, lecturers, or assistant professors.

(2)  Duration of assignment: Within 3 months

(3)  Allocation:

・Senior researchers: 20,000 yen per day for travel and living expenses

・Mid-career researchers: 15,000 yen per day for travel and living expenses

Long-term Research Program

Applicants must be mid-career researchers, based in Japan, such as associate professors, lecturers, or assistant professors.

Duration of assignment: Within one year

Allocation:

・Mid-career researchers: 15,000 yen per day for travel and living expenses

3. Application Period: Wednesday, 1 July 2026 to Thursday, 15 October 2026

Note: If the applicant is a dean or director, the application form must be submitted to the International Affairs Division by 17:00 (JST) on Thursday, 24 September 2026.

4. Letter of Recommendation

(1) Applicants are required to submit a letter of recommendation from a dean or director at a graduate school or research institute.

(2) Applicants who are a dean or director must submit a letter of recommendation from one of the following: the president of the University of Osaka (strongly preferred), or the president, a councilor or an adviser of the Kajima Foundation.

5.Required Documents:　

(1) Applicants are required to submit an application form though the online system.

(2) A letter of recommendation from a dean or a director is required.
