◆応募資格

【助成対象者】

1. 日本国籍を有する者、または日本への永住を許可されている者

2.書類締切日に満40歳未満の者（女性研究者は45歳未満）あるいは、学位取得後5年未満の者

3.博士号をすでに有するか2026年3月末の取得予定、またはそれと同等以上の研究業績を有する者

4.海外での研究予定期間が2年以上の者

5.過去において、1年以上の研究留学の経験がない者

6.2026年1月から12月末までに出立し、2年以上の海外留学を予定している者

7.海外の学術研究機関による受け入れの承諾を得ている者

【助成非対象者】以下の要件に該当する応募者は助成対象外です。

1.営利団体・企業の研究機関に所属している者

2.営利を目的とした民間研究所へ留学を希望する者

3.既に当財団の留学助成を受けたことのある者

◆応援条件

1.所属する施設の責任者の推薦があること。所属する施設の責任者とは、

(1) 総合大学で、応募者の所属が大学院の場合は、大学院研究科長、学部の場合は学部長、病院の場合は病院長（なお、医学部附属病院が複数ある施設では

本院の病院長からの推薦のみ可）、研究所の場合は研究所長

(2)単科大学では学長。なお、単科の医科大学の場合は、学長に加えて、本院の附属病院長が推薦可能です

(3)そのほかの研究機関では、その機関の代表者です（理事長等）。ここでいう研究機関とは、病院とは組織上独立した研究施設（医学研究に特化した施設で、

かつ科研費等外部資金の申請が可能）を有する機関を指します。研究機関でない病院は該当しません。

(4)推薦者が推薦できるのは一人とします。

2.2025年11月17日（月）の面接（Web)および12月2日（火）開催予定の贈呈式に出席すること。

1. Outline

This scholarship aims to support overseas research study related to basic and clinical medicine for elucidating the pathophysiology of diseases, prevention and medical treatment.

2. Deadline: Monday, 25 August 2025

3. Amount: Up to 6,000,000 yen　per researcher

*Taxes and insurance premiums are the responsibility of the applicants.

4. Number of scholarships: 5

One of which is prioritized for a female applicant.

5. Eligible applicants

1) Applicants must be Japanese nationals or hold permanent residence in Japan.

2) Applicants must be under 40 years old as of 25 August 2025. However, for female researchers, the age limit is under 45.

3) Applicants must have already obtained a doctoral degree or be currently enrolled in a doctoral program and expected to receive their degree by the end of March 2026, or have equivalent research achievements.

4) Applicants who plan to conduct research overseas for more than two years.

5) Applicants who have not conducted research overseas more than one year in the past.

6) Awardees are required to start their overseas research study from January 2026 to December 2026.

7) Applicants are required to submit a letter of acceptance from the host institution.

 6. Ineligible

1) Applicants affiliated with a for-profit organization or a corporate research institution.

2) Applicants planning to study abroad at a for-profit private research center or organization.

3) Applicants who have previously received this scholarship.

Notes

1) Applicants are required to submit a recommendation; recommenders include deans or directors of the applicant’s graduate school or research institution.

2) Maximum one application may be submitted under the name of the same recommender.
