CO Design Seminar - Let's Ask Matt! How can we get involved in efforts to address regional issues? Any tips? Hopes? How can we cooperate with people of different backgrounds and standpoints?

Matt Peacock MBE has been active in supporting homeless individuals in the UK through working together with these individuals on opera productions. He also has experience holding workshops in Japan in places such as Kotobukicho in Yokohama and Kamagasaki in Osaka. At this seminar, Mr. Peacock will answer questions from individuals involved with and/or researching art and welfare.

Matt Peacock


In 2002, Matt Peacock MBE started Streetwise Opera, a group that supports homeless individuals through music, by producing operas that pursue both artistic and social value.

Mr. Peacock was named to the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth in 2011, and in 2013, was mentioned as one of 30 social activists in former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown's book Britain's Everyday Heroes.

In 2016, Mr. Peacock started the "With One Voice" Project, an international movement of individuals involved in the arts and homelessness sector which held 40 events at the Rio De Janeiro Cultural Olympiad.
