IPR Seminar / New Frontiers in Protein Misfolding and Aggregation

2017-1-26 (Thu) - 2017-1-27 (Fri)

Because the misfolding and aggregation of proteins is the cause of a large number of human diseases, such as intractable neurological diseases, the clarification of these molecular mechanisms has become an important topic of research. However, there are still many things that we don't know about aggregation mechanisms of these disease-causing proteins and the construction of amyloids.

On January 26 and January 27, 2017, a Protein Research Seminar will be held at Osaka University, where 19 prominent researchers from Japan and abroad will join us for two days of presentations and discussion on the latest knowledge in misfolding and aggregation of proteins.

Date: 2017-1-26 (Thu) - 2017-1-27 (Fri)
Organizer: Institute for Protein Research, Osaka University
Sponsored: RIKEN, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas "Nascent Chain Biology"
Venue: Lecture Hall, 1F, Institute for Protein Research
Registration: Registration is not required for this seminar.
