Lecture Overview

Energy is required for chemical reactions. Since its rise 150 years ago, chemical industry has heated up objects in their entirety to transmit energy indirectly from the outside. Microwaves, such as those used in your microwave oven, directly transmit energy from the inside, and only to a specified area. We have used this to design chemical reactions at the molecular level and independently developed a manufacturing process to realize low energy, high efficiency, compact manufacturing. Our mission is to bring about innovation in a chemical industry that has not changed for over 100 years. In this lecture, I'll talk about our history, from our establishment as an Osaka University Venture all the way up until the present.
