The Osaka University Research Council, a large-scale network of research institutes, will be holding a series of Science Cafés.

In October's first session, Professor GOTOU Yuuji of the Institute for Protein Research will introduce to us what he has learned through protein research and how these things are related to disease.

In November's second session, Professor OOIWA Akira of the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research will give us an explanation about new technology of the future and the latest research results in topics such as big data and IoT, both recent topics of conversation.

In December's third session, Associate Professor KIRIHARA Soushuu of the Joining and Welding Research Institute will talk to us about to just what extremes the "structure of manufacturing," which extends to the heart of manufacturing, has come.

Each session is free to attend, and prior registration is not required. Anyone may attend these sessions.
