101st Kita Tenma Science Café -- "What Will the Linear Shinkansen Bring?"

Architectural planning is progressing for the Linear Shinkansen amidst concerns over fuel consumption, which is comparable to a steam locomotive, environmental problems concerning tunnel construction, the enormous financial burden, and safety of the train itself. We've invited NISHIKAWA Eiichi (Professor Emeritus, Kobe University) to discuss together with us the kinds of merits that the Linear Shinkansen will bring to our lives.
