Osaka University International Joint Reserach Promotion Program - "Cognitive Neuroscience and Social Gerontology Studies Aiming to Develop A Care Welfare Service for Successful Aging in the Super-Aging Elderly" 2016-17 Research Seminar

We will be holding the Osaka University International Joint Reserach Promotion Program - "Cognitive Neuroscience and Social Gerontology Studies Aiming to Develop A Care Welfare Service for Successful Aging in the Super-Aging Elderly" 2016-17 Research Seminar according to the schedule listed below. In this research, we aim to comprehend the changes in cognitive function, self-esteem, and happiness due to aging, as well as devise specific services in line with the psychological development in the super-aging elderly based on empirical data. In this seminar, we will hear lectures by Professor Hideya Koshino (California State University) and Associate Professor Daniela Jopp (University of Lausanne). These lectures will be held in English.

"Mind wandering, the Default Mode Network, and Mindfulness meditation"

2) Daniela Jopp (Associate Professor, University of Lausanne)
"Social networks and support in centenarians"

• These lectures will be held in English.
• These lectures will run for 40 minutes each (this includes a Q&A session).
• Prior registration is not required. We look forward to seeing many members of the Osaka University community in attendance.
