A Message from Professor Inaba

In the modern neoliberal society that demands excessive "self-responsibility," there exists a desire to face this difficulty to live, to support each other, and to co-exist in an "inclusive society." I have pursued the role of this "inclusive society" in areas not widely recognized by society, such as religious altruism and social contributions, as well as shelter provided by temples and shrines. Now, this kind of society is become increasingly important. In this seminar, we'll reexamine practical research related to society on the topic of religion as social capital and altruism.
