Science Café at Osaka University Dental Hospital vol. 2 - "Bones that Support Teeth"

2016-6-24 (Fri) 16:30 - 18:00

The Science Café, run in collaboration between Kaitokudo for the 21st Century and Osaka University Dental Hospital, hopes to encourage light conversation on various scientific topics. In each session, speakers will provide attendees with information on various research performed at the university. But you don't need to have any prior knowledge on any of these topics! What you do need is curiosity and simply to enjoy light conversation. Let's spend an enjoyable Friday evening together with some delicious food and drinks.

Speaker: HATA Kenji (Graduate School of Dentistry, Osaka University)

Bone research in the School of Dentistry? Bones play a very important role in the health of our teeth. Bones are often seen as very hard and inorganic, but they are in fact quite dynamic. I'll talk about the function of these bones all the way down to their core. (Interviewer: HIGO Konomi, Kaitokudo for the 21st Century, Osaka University)

Attendance Fee: Free (Attendees must buy their own drinks)
