Lab Café / Nakanoshima Philosophy Collège -- "Philosophy for Everyone 6"

2016-2-24 (Wed) 19:00 - 21:00

In "Philosophy for Everyone," we do philosophy together. Philosophy is suddenly stopping where you stand. When we stop and sit together, questions will begin to appear. These questions will cleanse our words. Our aim is to change out of our starched speech before the session is through. The topic can be whatever you'd like; we'll decide at the seminar.

What is Lab Café?

A major program instituted at Art Area B1, "Lab Café" is designed and implemented by the Center for the Study of Communication-Design. Lab Café is an interactive program in which participants have wide-ranging discussions on a variety of topics. The program aims to make the station a communication space in the arts and academia by taking up various themes in philosophy, art, science and technology and providing the general public with chances to be exposed to expertise on those topics.

What is Art Area B1?

The concourse of the first basement of Naniwabashi Station was set up as Art Area B1 when the Keihan Electric Railway's Nakanoshima Line was opened on October 19, 2008. Since then, the project has aimed to make the station a center of artistic communication.
