Lab Café Theater Café - Citizen Participation Theater 2015 Part 2: Making a Scene from the Script (An OU/May Theater Project)

2016-2-9 (Tue) 19:00 - 21:00

Since 2011, citizens and professionals have come together to produce a theater production centering around Osaka University students and citizens of Suita City. Once again this year, we are planning to hold a performance in February 2016 at the May Theater. For this Café, we have invited script writer YOKOYAMA Takuya to introduce the production and talk about the ins and outs of script writing. We are also planning on having attendees use a script to create a scene. We hope to see you there.

What is Lab Café?

A major program instituted at Art Area B1, "Lab Café" is designed and implemented by the Center for the Study of Communication-Design. Lab Café is an interactive program in which participants have wide-ranging discussions on a variety of topics. The program aims to make the station a communication space in the arts and academia by taking up various themes in philosophy, art, science and technology and providing the general public with chances to be exposed to expertise on those topics.

What is Art Area B1?

The concourse of the first basement of Naniwabashi Station was set up as Art Area B1 when the Keihan Electric Railway's Nakanoshima Line was opened on October 19, 2008. Since then, the project has aimed to make the station a center of artistic communication.
