Lab Café Theater Café - "What is Truly Difficult About Acting"

2016-1-13 (Wed) 19:00 - 21:00

What really is acting? Is it enough if one is able to frantically express the emotions of a role? And are there things that one can see and hear when looking around while standing on the stage? At this Lab Café, we'd like to go in depth about the act of "acting" by covering what is truly difficult about acting. Please feel free to attend.

What is Lab Café?

A major program instituted at Art Area B1, "Lab Café" is designed and implemented by the Center for the Study of Communication-Design. Lab Café is an interactive program in which participants have wide-ranging discussions on a variety of topics. The program aims to make the station a communication space in the arts and academia by taking up various themes in philosophy, art, science and technology and providing the general public with chances to be exposed to expertise on those topics.

What is Art Area B1?

The concourse of the first basement of Naniwabashi Station was set up as Art Area B1 when the Keihan Electric Railway's Nakanoshima Line was opened on October 19, 2008. Since then, the project has aimed to make the station a center of artistic communication.
