This is a collaborative project between "people who feel hesitation toward dancing" and "people who are obsessed with dancing." At this café, we'll discuss our relationship with dancing. You can even move your body while you do it! Anyone is welcome to join, whether you want to dance, or not.

What is Lab Café?

A major program instituted at Art Area B1, "Lab Café" is designed and implemented by the Center for the Study of Communication-Design. Lab Café is an interactive program in which participants have wide-ranging discussions on a variety of topics. The program aims to make the station a communication space in the arts and academia by taking up various themes in philosophy, art, science and technology and providing the general public with chances to be exposed to expertise on those topics.

What is Art Area B1?

The concourse of the first basement of Naniwabashi Station was set up as Art Area B1 when the Keihan Electric Railway's Nakanoshima Line was opened on October 19, 2008. Since then, the project has aimed to make the station a center of artistic communication.
